Spark Spring Sixes (Tribe Elementary)
Sixes is a short-field version of the game that will be played for the first time in the Olympics in 2028. The advantage of playing Sixes at the youth level is to increase the pace, touches, and overall skill development of our younger players. All players will have the space to learn BOTH offense and defense, in a less complicated field game system. Smaller teams also means more reps, lower coach to player ratios and more time to focus on individual skill development. Focus is on developing stick skills at a running pace. Scooping, catching, switching hands, throwing, shooting while keeping your feet moving.
We are opening up our Sixes Scrimmages to Tribe Elementary players!
If numbers allow, we will keep all the Tribe players together in a group (wear your Tribe jersey) and providing a coach for them through Spark. The scrimmages will be short and focus on player development in the moment! There will typically be 2-3 Elementary groups playing in a round-robin style: 8-10 minutes of play, Break with coaching and focus, 8-10 minutes more of play through the end of the hour. Elementary Scrimmages are 1:30-2:30 at Westridge School in Pasadena on 4/13, 4/27, 5/4, and 5/11.
